As a Junior Designer you will be accountable for completion of engineering design tasks and projects, primarily related to electrical checkouts and PLC programming, from concept to implementation in production. This will include all related design activities, calculations, communications, drawings, and bills of materials
- Create engineering designs, especially PLC programs, that meet customer functionality requirements and applicable regulations.
- Write electrical checkout procedures that allow proper testing of vehicles prior to delivery.
- Create other programs and configuration files as needed for engines, fans, hybrid propulsion systems, gateway modules, and other components as needed.
- Provide engineering support to production, quality assurance, customer service support, and other departments, remotely or onsite at production facilities as required.
- Interact with vendors and customers on design related issues.
- Participate in product and process improvement initiatives as required.
- Graduate from an Engineering technical institute/University in electrical engineering
- Design-related experience of 1-2 years is preferred.
- PLC programming experience is an asset
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel to the US (less than 15%)
