Founding Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

A fast-growing, Y Combinator–backed AI marketing SaaS startup is hiring its first engineer in Munich. This is a true founding-scope role: you'll work directly with the founders and customers to figure out what to build, ship it end to end, and keep improving it until it creates real customer value. The product sits at the intersection of brand intelligence, AI-driven content, and agentic workflows — helping businesses understand and grow their visibility across AI platforms.

You'll span product thinking, frontend, backend systems, LLM pipelines, and data — and you'll regularly talk to customers and turn those conversations into product decisions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own full product features end to end — from ambiguous problem to live, production-quality feature
• Work directly with the founders and customers on a daily basis
• Design simple, intuitive UX for complex workflows
• Build and iterate across frontend, backend, LLM pipelines, and data systems
• Turn customer conversations into actionable product improvements
• Ship fast and keep improving until features deliver measurable customer value

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

• Proven track record shipping production SaaS features — you've taken products from 0 to 1 before
• Strong full-stack ownership: comfortable going from an ambiguous problem all the way to a live product
• Solid experience with TypeScript and React
• Ability to design clean, simple UX for complex workflows
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment with high autonomy

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Vite, Supabase, Vercel, and/or ClickHouse
• Experience building with LLMs and agentic workflows — both in the product and in day-to-day work
• 2–4 years of relevant software engineering experience

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Base salary: €85,000 – €120,000 annually
• Equity: Meaningful VSOP stake (founding engineer level)
• Visa sponsorship available

This role is on-site in Munich, Germany. Candidates based in Munich or willing to relocate are encouraged to apply. Start date: as soon as possible.
