The Head of Finance and Accounting is a highly visible leadership position responsible for managing the organization’s financial control environment and ensuring compliance with IFRS, Group Financial Guidelines and local Statutory Accounting and regulatory requirements across the region.
This role oversees end-to-end accounting operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and holds accountability for working capital and balance sheet forecasting, Balance Sheet and treasury management, and intercompany processes to maintain financial integrity.
In addition, the Head of F&A drives the harmonization and standardization of finance processes in line with divisional standards, ensuring robust governance and audit readiness across the business. Acting as a subject matter expert and key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, this individual combines exceptional technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities to build and develop a high-performing accounting organization, lead transformational initiatives, and foster a culture of compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Financial Governance & Compliance: Lead the management of the financial control environment across EMEA, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Group Financial Guidelines, and local statutory requirements. Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, maintain audit readiness, and manage treasury operations including cash flow and FX risk mitigation. Success means maintaining financial integrity and robust governance with zero compliance issues. Travel will be occasional across the region to support audit and stakeholder engagement.
- Process Improvement & Standardization: Drive harmonization and standardization of finance processes (R2R, P2P, OTC) to transition from fragmented regional operations to a consistent, efficient model. Lead initiatives to improve operational effectiveness and embed new ways of working in partnership with Weir Business Services.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a confident and effective business partner, collaborating closely with Finance Centers of Excellence, Regional Finance Directors, Commercial Finance teams, and Group Functional Leaders to ensure alignment and optimal service delivery.
- Team Leadership & Transformation: Build and lead a high-performing Finance & Accounting team, fostering a culture of compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Champion employee development and lead change management initiatives to embed finance transformation across the region

What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. *Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration ideal.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership managing multi-country operations.
- Deep expertise in IFRS, statutory reporting, internal controls, audit management, and SAP ERP systems.
- Experience leading finance transformation initiatives, including process standardization and centralization.
- Strong background in treasury operations, FX risk management, and working capital optimization.
- Familiarity with tax compliance, transfer pricing, and e-invoicing requirements across diverse regulatory environments.
