About The Role

Job Details

Summary

The Senior Marketing Manager leads brand strategy for the identified portfolio, shaping how the brand shows up in the market and ensuring every initiative — from innovation to marketing mix — ladders back to a clear, differentiated brand position. The core mandate is strategic: defining where the brands play, the role they each play in the portfolio, how the brands win, and why consumers should choose. The Senior Marketing Manager also leads one direct report, providing coaching and development to build a strong bench of brand marketing talent.

This position will sit full time onsite at our World Headquarters in Springdale, Arkansas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Positioning & Strategy: Own and evolve the brand strategy, including brand purpose, positioning, target consumer definition, and competitive differentiation, in partnership with the business unit GM and team.
  • Consumer & Insights: Synthesize as well as recommend quantitative and qualitative consumer data (segmentation, usage & attitude studies, purchase behavior, social listening) to identify unmet needs and emerging trends; translate findings into clear, actionable insights that inform brand positioning, innovation priorities, and go-to-market strategy; partner with consumer insights teams to design and prioritize research that closes critical knowledge gaps.
  • Growth Planning: Partner with insights, category management, and innovation teams to identify white space and growth opportunities; translate consumer and market insights into actionable brand strategies for future growth.
  • Brand Health & Performance: Monitor brand equity, market share, and business performance; use data to course-correct strategy and prioritize investment.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the strategic connective tissue across creative, media, shopper marketing, social, and digital experience to ensure a consistent, on-brand experience across all consumer touchpoints; partner with media agency partners to shape media strategy — channel mix, audience targeting, and investment allocation — ensuring plans align with brand positioning and growth priorities; manage agency relationships (creative, media, and specialist partners) to drive high-quality output, accountability to brief, and efficient use of budget.
  • Portfolio & Architecture: Guide decisions on product portfolio, naming, and brand architecture within the Snacking space to maintain a coherent brand system.
  • Innovation Partnership: Provide strategic brand input into new product development, ensuring launches are grounded in consumer need and brand equity.
  • Marketing Plan Development: Build annual brand plans, including objectives, strategies, budget allocation, and success metrics, in partnership with the Sr. Director and the business unit GMs and their teams.
  • Budget Management: Own disciplined, ongoing stewardship of the marketing budget in partnership with the GMs (P&L owners) — including annual planning, in-year reallocation, and ROI tracking across media, innovation, and shopper investments; proactively identify efficiency opportunities and reallocate spend toward highest-return initiatives; ensure spend pacing, forecasting accuracy, and variance reporting meet finance and leadership expectations.
  • Creative Oversight: Set creative briefs and strategic guardrails for the creative team; evaluate creative output against brand strategy rather than leading creative development directly.
  • People Leadership: Manage and develop one direct report setting clear priorities, providing regular coaching, and supporting their growth within the marketing organization.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive brand marketing experience, with demonstrated ownership of brand strategy.
  • Experience in CPG, food, or a comparably regulated/retail-driven category preferred
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable translating data and consumer insight into strategic recommendations
  • Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority
  • Prior people management experience, or demonstrated readiness to manage and develop a direct report
