About The Role

Why this role?

The Operations Analysis Engineer is part of KONE's Remote Monitoring and Support team that identifies elevator faults and issues remotely from our Global Operations Centre. They work together with KONE's field operations personnel to solve site issues, ensuring smooth elevator and escalator performance for KONE's customers worldwide.

What will you be doing?

  • Perform live monitoring of elevators and escalators within the assigned portfolio to identify equipment abnormalities and breakdowns.
  • Ensure timely escalation of critical events to the relevant stakeholders until resolution.
  • Conduct daily fault analysis of monitored equipment and responsible for reporting preparation for service teams and customers.
  • Ensure scheduled reports are delivered accurately and on time in collaboration with the respective Area Lead.
  • Follow up with local Service teams on recommended corrective actions and site resolutions to achieve callout prevention and success cases.
  • Perform monthly analysis to identify recurring failure trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities aimed at improving reliability.
  • Collect, validate, and manage operational data required for analysis and customer performance studies.
  • Support ad-hoc requests on investigating equipment data, operational trends, and site-specific issues using available tools.
  • Recommend technical improvements based on equipment performance analysis, software capabilities, and best practices.
  • Support deployment and testing of new monitoring hardware, digital tools, and software upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of monitoring activities, analysis, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with global teams, technical experts, and area leads to drive continuous improvement initiatives and improve equipment availability.

Are you the one?

  • Understanding of electrical circuits, circuit diagrams, and electrical components.
  • Good troubleshooting and debugging skills for both hardware and software related.
  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration.
  • Experience in data handling, analysis, and interpretation to support operational decision-making.
  • Experience with projects involving internet connectivity, remote monitoring, or IoT solutions is an added advantage.
  • Experience in developing data visualizations and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI is an added advantage.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query, formulas, data modelling) are an added advantage.
  • Experience in workflow automation using Microsoft Power Automate or similar automation platforms is an added advantage.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
