About The Role
The Global Key Account Manager will be responsible for growing and protecting a portfolio of major global consumer goods retail accounts, balancing new business development with the deep, long-term management of existing relationships. They will report directly to the Global Sales Director, working as part of our Sales team.
The purpose of QIMA Global Key Account Manager is to secure our growth by winning new business and taking exceptional care of our existing clients, while embodying the QIMA value of "Client First" every day.
Key Responsibilities include
- Own and grow a portfolio of global key accounts within the consumer goods retail sector, acting as the primary point of contact for strategic client relationships.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with prospective global retail accounts, building a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.
- Develop account growth strategies that expand QIMA's share of wallet across existing clients through cross-selling and upselling QIMA's TIC services.
- Negotiate global contracts and pricing frameworks, ensuring commercial terms that protect margin while securing long-term partnerships.
- Build and maintain trusted, senior-level relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations.
- Collaborate with QIMA's operations and technical teams to ensure service delivery matches client expectations and contractual commitments.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and retailer sourcing strategies to identify new opportunities and inform account plans.
- Report on account performance, pipeline, and forecast accuracy to senior sales leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field is preferred
- Good level of English required; a second language would be a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in key account management or business development, with a proven track record in both hunting new business and farming existing accounts.
- Strong knowledge of the consumer goods retail landscape and the buyers who operate within it.
- Prior experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex, senior-level client relationships.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment with competing priorities.
- Humble, enthusiastic and rigorous, with a taste for the field.
- Previous exposure to using AI at work or a strong personal acquaintance with AI products.
