About The Role
SUMMARY
As a Patient Service Representative, you are the warm and friendly point of contact for visitors, providers and staff within the department and keep the department running with your exceptional customer service skills.

DEPARTMENT: Technicians
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 7 a-3p, 3p-11p Weekend rotation

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patient Support. Manage check-in and check-out; work with patient/family and explain relevant unit processes; answer any questions patient/family may have to the best of your ability; round on the patient care unit and provide customer service to each patient when asked for assistance
- Unit Management. Prepare unit with daily staff assignment board, nurse locators and updated patient room boards; assist Clinical Nurse Leader with the coordination of daily patient activities; update patient chart when appropriate ; oversee information flow within unit, including telephone, mail, fax and paper reports; maintain and stock supplies on unit
- Medical Record Management. Process physician paper orders or Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) tasks and maintain all electronic and paper medical records

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary - Sedentary roles are primarily office-based and require prolonged sitting (67–100% of the workday) with minimal physical effort and lifting limited to under 10 lbs. Fine motor skills are necessary for computer work, writing, and telephone use, supported by clear visual and auditory ability. Cognitive and emotional demands are high due to extended concentration, frequent interruptions, independent decision-making, and information processing. Although physical exposure is low, administrative areas within healthcare environments may occasionally involve contact with infectious agents. Some roles may require flexible hours, TB screening, or a valid driver’s license.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
