About The Role

Assembles designated products such as pumps, partially or completely, working at a bench or on shop floor.

Assemble equipment according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints using hand and power tools and some measuring devices.
Checks completed units, ensuring proper alignment of parts and components and notes any need for modification.
Conducts or assists in final test to ensure proper operation of parts.
Notifies management of malfunctions.
Assists in trouble shooting, noting need for corrective action.
Conducts hydrostatic tests as required or directed.
Grind components as necessary to meet the requirements of individual components.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to read blueprints.
Ability to set up and assemble pumps as normally acquired through Vo-Tech training.
Knowledge of shop safety practices.
Knowledge of quality assurance as normally acquired through in-house seminars and training.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Above average skills in: Retaining Instruction.
Demonstrated ability to: Progressively Assemble.
General knowledge of: Mechanical applications and aptitude.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands or arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
