About The Role

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Associate Vice President, Corporate Finance on a permanent full-time basis within our Finance team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK .

Corporate Finance plays a critical role in shaping the financial strength and long-term success of FCL. As the Associate Vice President, Corporate Finance, you'll provide leadership across Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Accounting, Treasury & Credit and Risk & Insurance ensuring the function delivers strong financial stewardship, insight and support for FCL’s enterprise priorities. This is an opportunity to influence executive decision-making, build high-performing teams, and help strengthen FCL’s long term financial performance.

What you’ll do

  • Lead Corporate Finance as an integrated, high performing function, ensuring alignment across Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Credit and Insurance while fostering strong collaboration, clear accountabilities, operational excellence and strong business partnerships across FCL.
  • Serve as a key strategic partner to the Vice President Finance, helping translate enterprise priorities into action while providing trusted advice and independent financial perspective that supports sound enterprise decision-making, capital allocation, and long-term organizational performance.
  • Oversee enterprise financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and controllership ensuring accurate financial information, meaningful business insights, and disciplined financial stewardship.
  • Guide treasury, credit, and financial risk strategies to support FCL's long-term financial sustainability and strategic objectives.
  • Champion strong governance and financial controls while driving continuous improvement across Corporate Finance.
  • Provide leadership for Corporate Finance led strategic initiatives and support broader enterprise initiatives as required, ensuring strong Corporate Finance alignment, support and execution.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team while fostering a culture of collaboration, performance, accountability, and continuous improvement across Corporate Finance.

Who you’ll work with

The Team: Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, you'll lead a diverse team of finance leaders, including the Director, Corporate Accounting, Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, Senior Manager, Treasury & Credit and Manager, Risk & Insurance. You'll work closely with the Vice President Finance and Leaders across FCL to advance enterprise and Finance priorities while ensuring Corporate Finance provides strong financial leadership, insight and support to the organization.

Who you are

You are looking for a career in Finance and

  • Have 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience across multiple disciplines, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Corporate Finance, Capital Planning, or Risk Management.
  • Have a degree in Business or Commerce. An MBA, CFA, CBV or equivalent advanced designation considered an asset.
  • Hold a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
