About The Role

The Cyber Security Architect Engineer II (ISSO) is responsible for the information system security controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems remaining at the authorized state. Abides by all applicable information system security guidance to sustain customer information systems in Accordance With (IAW) NIST SP 800-53 and any other government and local directives, instructions, or publications pertaining to the Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) responsibilities.

This is a mission-critical position requiring a high-level knowledge of security controls, attention to detail, and a commitment to safeguarding classified information.

Must work onsite at secure facilities in Clearwater, FL.

  • Maintain Security Posture of assigned systems:
  • Support the ISSM to maintain security posture of the systems by continually monitoring system compliance and documenting any changes.
  • Establish and maintain baseline configurations for hardware, software, and network components.
  • Be the focal for change control process on assigned ATOs
  • User management and training:
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring compliance with applicable security policies.
  • Create and deliver training or documentation to enhance end-user efficiency and security awareness.
  • Security Collaboration:
  • Partner with the ISSM and ISSOs to integrate security into the RMF processes, supporting Authorization to Operate (ATO) efforts.
  • Report and respond to security incidents or anomalies in coordination with the security team.
  • Compliance and Security:
  • Ensure all activities adhere to DAAPM, NIST SP 800-53 and DoD-specific directives.
  • Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified and sensitive data.
  • Respond to evolving security requirements and support incident mitigation as needed. Maintain information systems compliance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • 4+ years of ISSO (Information System Security Officer) experience.
  • Experience with developing, reviewing, and maintaining RMF artifacts.
  • Experience with classified information system auditing and investigations.
  • Familiarity with commonly used compliance security tools (e.g., Nessus, STIGs, Splunk, SCC) and system hardening.
  • Security Clearance: Top Secret
  • Certifications: DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 minimum compliant certification
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., for hardware setup) and sit/stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to lead the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to secure Authorizations to Operate (ATO) from start to finish
  • Comfortable working in a high-security environment with strict access controls and protocols.
  • Prior experience with the system authorization process, associated artifacts and their requirements (e.g., SSP, SCTM, Security CONOPs, SOPs).
  • Knowledge of other security disciplines and how they impact and interact with information system security
