About The Role

Neuberger’s Private Markets business is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead technology transformation across the platform — spanning the investment/deal lifecycle, the client lifecycle, and the operating environments that keep the business running. This is a high-visibility role reporting into Private Markets Technology leadership, with close, regular partnership with the Office of the COO.

Operating at the intersection of technology, operations, and the investment business, this role will translate strategic priorities into executable roadmaps, establish rigorous governance and delivery discipline, and orchestrate work across engineering teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders. Success in this role requires a combination of enterprise program management expertise, financial and commercial acumen, private markets domain fluency, and the executive presence to influence and align senior stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of large, cross-functional technology programs spanning data platform, operating-model, and application initiatives
  • Manage program scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, and risk across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Establish governance structures (steering committees, working groups) and run cadence for status, decisions, and escalation
  • Forecast resourcing needs and manage staffing across employees and contractors
  • Define and enforce program management standards, tooling, and reporting
  • Manage change control, benefits realization, and post-implementation reviews
  • Communicate status, risks, and trade-offs to Executive Steering committee audiences
  • Manage project managers in their day to day work
  • Build and manage program budgets (capex/opex), track spend against plan, and manage vendor SOWs and commercials

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated delivery of complex, multi-year platform or transformation programs at enterprise scale in Private Markets or Asset Management
  • 15+ years leading large-scale technology and business transformation programs in asset management or financial services
  • Deep command of program/project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and tooling (Jira, MS Project, or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated fluency with AI tools, and experience overseeing delivery of AI-enabled initiatives alongside traditional technology and process workstreams
  • Deep understanding of financial markets and financial industry workflows
  • Strong financial acumen and vendor/commercial management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, technology, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (SAFe, Scrum Master) certification
  • Private Markets experience
  • Domain exposure to relevant systems (fund accounting, portfolio monitoring, OMS/IBOR, data platforms) is a strong plus

Location: New York City; hybrid with a minimum of two days per week in office.
