Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Product Development Engineer to join our team at Altera Semiconductor Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. This role involves contributing to the design, development, and validation of cutting-edge semiconductor products.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, validation, and manufacturing to define product requirements and specifications.
Perform silicon validation and characterization, including developing and executing test plans, analyzing data, and debugging issues.
Design and develop test hardware and software for product bring-up, characterization, and production testing.
Support product development from concept to mass production, including yield improvement and failure analysis.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of product development processes and methodologies.
Document design, test procedures, and results comprehensively.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in semiconductor product development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development, silicon validation, or test engineering within the semiconductor industry.
Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, digital and analog circuit design principles.
Experience with silicon validation, characterization, and debugging techniques.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Perl for test automation and data analysis.
Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and yield analysis is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
