Job Summary

Embrace is seeking a Senior. Software Engineer. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and support modern software solutions that power our customer, partner, and internal platforms. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, maintainable software while mentoring other engineers, influencing technical direction, and helping drive engineering excellence across the organization.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full stack, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and has experience building cloud-first applications using the Microsoft technology stack.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll influence technical direction, mentor fellow engineers, solve challenging problems, and help shape the future of our engineering organization.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and APIs.
  • Build secure, reliable, and maintainable software using modern engineering practices.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and technology evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, QA, UX, and fellow engineers to deliver business value.
  • Mentor engineers through technical leadership, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root cause analysis.
  • Improve application performance, reliability, observability, and security.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code.
  • Help modernize legacy applications and contribute to long-term technical strategy.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience with C# and .NET.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
  • Experience with SQL Server and relational database design.
  • Experience developing applications in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience using Git-based source control.
  • Experience writing automated unit and integration tests.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide other engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with

  • Microsoft technologies (ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Service Bus, Azure Key Vault, Azure App Configuration, Azure API Management, Microsoft Entra ID)
  • front-end technologies including Vue.js (preferred), React or Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3
  • DevOps and cloud technologies including GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and distributed systems
  • secure software development using OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, Application Insights or Datadog
  • AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude Code, or similar.

Technical Skills

  • Languages: C#, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript
  • Frameworks: .NET, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core
  • Front-End: Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3
