Job Description

The Nursing Assistant duties include but are not limited to providing patient/resident care as required under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse. The Nursing Assistant completes assigned tasks to ensure timely, efficient and safe patient/resident care. Communication and interactions with patients, residents, families and other health team members is an essential component of this position.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include current certification as a Registered Nursing Assistant on the state nursing assistant registry. The qualified candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and communicate in English; basic computer skills or willingness to acquire during orientation. Previous experience in long term care is helpful, but not required.
