 IMG are looking for a Technical Lead t o be the regional technical contact for the Saudi Pro League based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the technical delivery of the outside broadcasts, producing relevant documentation and schematics, liaising with facilities companies, attending recces and managing the freelance technical producers. This role will be based in Riyadh.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Work with the Head of Live Technology to deliver live broadcasts in the region, ensuring the best technical solution based on production requirements and budget.
- Deliver live on-site OB programmes and highlights on-time and on budget.
- Engage with the contracted companies to ensure the right facilities and crew, to best facilitate production requirements.
- Produce relevant technical documentation and drawings in advance of live broadcasts and events.
- Work with the SPL and our contracted suppliers to define end to end technical broadcast solutions for live production,
- Be the regional technical point of contact for production on live events to ensure the safe delivery of productions.
- Attend match rounds to ensure consistency and quality of delivery is maintained
- Attend recces where technical input is required.
- Manage freelance Technical Producers deployed to the games.

- Work closely with Production Management on the commercial, corporate and client deliverables.

Knowledge and Experience
Mandatory
- Proven experience in the technical planning of live events.
- Experience of being an onsite Technical Producer on a range of events using differing workflows; onsite, remote, etc.
- An understanding of broadcast technologies, including OB and remote workflows, UHD HDR, and delivery methods such as satellite and fibre.
- Good understanding on TV technnology and production techniques
Desirable
- Arabic speaker
- Understanding of platform technologies
- Strong market knowledge and experience of working in the region
- Sound commercial skills with an ability to match editorial and commercial objectives.
- Ability to deliver against challenging deadlines
- Facilitate and deliver change management
- Experience of managing key client relationships at a senior level
- An in-depth knowledge of production market trends, both in sport and non-sport
Working Conditions
- This is a fixed-term contract role until 31st August 2027.
- This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Travel within KSA, across the various match locations/stadiums
- Requirement for w eekend work and unsocial hours
