About The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant / Specialist Oral Medicine to join our dental and medical team. The successful candidate will provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with complex oral mucosal, salivary gland, orofacial pain, and medically related oral conditions.

The role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality oral medicine services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of oral medicine conditions, including oral mucosal disorders, oral manifestations of systemic diseases, salivary gland disorders, and orofacial pain conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Perform clinical examinations, investigations, and appropriate diagnostic procedures.
  • Provide consultations and coordinate care with dental and medical specialties.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Educate patients on oral health management and preventive care.
  • Support clinical training and mentoring of junior dental staff when required.
  • Stay updated with current advances in oral medicine practices and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), or equivalent dental qualification.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Oral Medicine.
  • Valid professional license or eligibility for licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience as a Specialist or Consultant Oral Medicine practitioner.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered care and maintaining high clinical standards.
