About The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Consultant / Consultant Hematologist to join a leading healthcare facility. The successful candidate will provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of patients with benign and malignant hematological disorders while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of hematological disorders, including anemia, bleeding and clotting disorders, hemoglobinopathies, bone marrow disorders, leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Interpret and evaluate laboratory investigations, bone marrow biopsies, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, pathologists, transfusion medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient hematology services.
  • Monitor treatment response and adjust management plans as required.
  • Provide patient and family counseling regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and long-term care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental activities.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to teaching, mentoring, research, and continuing medical education activities.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or recognized postgraduate qualification in Hematology or Hematology & Medical Oncology.
  • Valid medical license or eligibility for licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Extensive experience managing both benign and malignant hematological disorders.
  • Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
