Senior Consultant / Specialist Anesthesia

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Consultant / Specialist Anesthesiologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality perioperative care, administer anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures, and contribute to patient safety through evidence-based clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients preoperatively and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period and manage any anesthesia-related complications.
• Provide postoperative pain management and critical care support when required.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees, where applicable.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Medical degree with completion of an accredited residency/training program in Anesthesiology.
• Board certification or equivalent specialist qualification in Anesthesiology.
• Eligibility for licensure by the relevant health authority.
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
