Maintenance Electrician

Juken New Zealand Ltd (JNL) is one of the Wairarapa's largest employers and a leading manufacturer with a strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and employee wellbeing. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our dedicated maintenance team in Masterton.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for both scheduled and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of manufacturing equipment, improvements on machinery and helping to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

Predominately Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 7.00am to 3.30pm

About the Role

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will:
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Diagnose faults and resolve equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with established procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability projects.
Share ideas and recommendations to improve plant performance and productivity.
Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime.

What We're Looking For

You will be a qualified and experienced electrician with

Experience in industrial or maintenance electrical work.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently and make sound decisions when required.
A practical, systematic approach to maintenance and troubleshooting.
A strong commitment to working safely and following procedures.
Accountability, initiative, and pride in delivering quality work.
Willingness and ability to learn and grow a more technical skill set.

Experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but is not essential. Most importantly, you will have a genuine interest in industrial maintenance and a willingness to learn and contribute to a high-performing team.
