Maintenance Electrician

Juken New Zealand Ltd (JNL) is one of the Wairarapa's largest employers and a leading manufacturer with a strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and employee wellbeing. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our dedicated maintenance team in Masterton.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for both scheduled and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of manufacturing equipment, improvements on machinery and helping to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.
Predominately Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 7.00am to 3.30pm
About the Role
- Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will:
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose faults and resolve equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with established procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability projects.
- Share ideas and recommendations to improve plant performance and productivity.
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime.

What We're Looking For
You will be a qualified and experienced electrician with
- Experience in industrial or maintenance electrical work.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions when required.
- A practical, systematic approach to maintenance and troubleshooting.
- A strong commitment to working safely and following procedures.
- Accountability, initiative, and pride in delivering quality work.
- Willingness and ability to learn and grow a more technical skill set.
Experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but is not essential. Most importantly, you will have a genuine interest in industrial maintenance and a willingness to learn and contribute to a high-performing team.
