Job Description

Length of term: 4 months or 8 months (Winter 2027 and Summer 2027)

The Role

This role will provide strategic support to the “AI 4 IT” Transformation Office, a multi-year transformation initiative focused on scaling AI agents across global IT processes. The role will focus on change management strategy and execution, AI adoption growth, strategic problem solving, executive communications, and portfolio-level transformation support.

What will you do?

The Junior Strategy Analyst’s main accountabilities include, but are not limited to

AI Strategy, Transformation, and Executive Communications

  • Partner with business and technology leaders to solve ambiguous problems and develop recommendations for strategic decisions related to AI agents and agentic solutions.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and synthesis across multiple initiatives to identify opportunities, risks, dependencies, and emerging trends.
  • Develop executive-ready PowerPoint presentations, communication materials, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership audiences.
  • Support key strategic initiatives across AI 4 IT workstreams by helping structure working sessions, synthesize stakeholder input, track decisions, and turn workshop outcomes into actionable next steps.
  • Provide support on ad-hoc requests across the transformation office as needed (e.g. project management, risk and blocker resolution, workstream or initiative-specific asks).

Change Management and Product Leadership

  • Support the design and execution of change management, communications, and adoption strategies that help scale agentic solutions across the organization.
  • Apply strategic frameworks to identify adoption growth opportunities beyond initial target user groups.
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder discussions to gather requirements, drive alignment, and advance key initiatives.
  • Analyze adoption, value realization, and operational metrics to generate insights and support data-driven decision making.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Preference for MBA students or undergraduate students who have completed two co-op terms already.
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or equivalent degree with a focus (i.e. major) on one of the following:
  • Business Management or Administration, with supporting education or experience in digital technology.
  • Engineering (all disciplines), Technology, or Mathematics with supporting education or experience in business management.
  • The consulting toolkit including applying strategic frameworks to ambiguous problems, quantitative data analysis, and the ability to synthesize deep research into recommendations.
  • Excellent MS PowerPoint skills, including an understanding of the presentation development process (storyboard to finished product and speaker notes).
  • Excellent MS Excel skills including the ability to analyze, visualize, interpret, and communicate data-driven insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.

Not necessary, but considered an asset

  • Experience in consulting, corporate strategy, technology strategy, finance, or related positions.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with executive/senior management communications, e.g., workshops, reporting to executives, or communications to a broad external audience.
  • Experience or demonstrated familiarity with software delivery lifecycles.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.

Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
