About the role
What if you could use AI to transform manufacturing in Essity’s factories? Join a global team supporting the Manufacturing Execution Systems used in Essity factories worldwide, driving critical operations across Tissue, Personal Care, and Medical businesses.
As an AI Analyst Manufacturing, you will translate business needs into smart technology solutions while helping accelerate AI adoption across Manufacturing IT. Working closely with stakeholders and development teams, you will improve processes, modernize applications, and leverage AI to enhance software delivery, quality, and innovation. This is a unique opportunity to influence how AI transforms manufacturing on a global scale.

What you will do
- Business Analysis & Solution Design: Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, solution documentation, and development-ready work packages while ensuring alignment between stakeholders and delivery teams.
- AI-Augmented Development: Create and optimize prompts, validate AI-generated outputs, and develop reusable playbooks that enable effective and responsible AI-assisted software development.
- Application Modernization: Lead AI-assisted modernization initiatives, helping transform legacy applications into scalable, cloud-native solutions using modern engineering practices.
- Software Engineering Excellence: Support the delivery of secure, maintainable solutions through DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, architecture best practices, and quality-driven development.
- AI Innovation & Adoption: Identify opportunities to automate development activities, experiment with emerging AI technologies, and coach colleagues on effective AI usage.
- Responsible AI Governance: Promote secure and compliant use of AI by ensuring appropriate validation, traceability, data protection, and human oversight of AI-generated outputs.
- Global Manufacturing Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and external partners across multiple manufacturing business areas to drive successful outcomes.
Who you are
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Proven experience combining software engineering and business analysis responsibilities within complex IT environments, ideally supporting manufacturing, industrial, or regulated business processes.
- Experience working in manufacturing, with a good understanding of shop floor workflows, production processes, and operational challenges.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Azure cloud technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and modern engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and containerization.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, systems thinking, collaboration, curiosity, continuous learning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge existing approaches and drive innovation.
