Electrical Technician

An Electrical Technician performs a range of electrical tasks, including wiring, programming, troubleshooting and equipment maintenance using the DDS approach and root cause analyses.

Main accountabilities and responsibilities (including I Care)

Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
Constructing and fabricating parts using hand tools and specifications.
Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, schematics and technical manuals
Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
Supervising contracted electricians.
Ordering electrical supplies and equipment.
Works to standards and assures the teams works to it and secure availability of standard technical documentation.
