Job Description
This role is accountable for end‑to‑end contract management , ensuring that all legal and contract management affairs are taken care of in entirety. It is a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of client’s contractual relationships. This individual will be responsible for the end-to-end management of contractual commitments, from interpretation and change management to adherence tracking and audit coordination. The role requires a seasoned professional with strong legal acumen, project management skills, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation, ensuring seamless and risk-free delivery for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Contractual Understanding & Interpretation:
- Gain a deep and nuanced understanding of complex contractual agreements, including service level agreements (SLAs), master service agreements (MSAs), and statements of work (SOWs).
- Accurately interpret contractual terms, conditions, and obligations to provide clear guidance to internal stakeholders and ensure compliance.
- Identify potential contractual risks, ambiguities, and opportunities, providing recommendations for mitigation or optimization.
- Change Request Project Management:
- Lead and project manage the entire lifecycle of contractual change requests, amendments, and renewals.
- Coordinate with legal, commercial, and operational teams to assess the impact of changes, ensuring alignment and robust documentation.
- Ensure timely processing and execution of all contractual modifications, maintaining a clear audit trail.
- Contractual Adherence & Risk Mitigation:
- Develop and implement robust frameworks and processes for meticulously tracking and monitoring contractual adherence across all client engagements.
- Proactively identify any deviations from contractual terms and conditions, assessing potential risks to service delivery and business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to establish corrective action plans and ensure timely resolution of non-compliance issues, guaranteeing risk-free delivery.
- Client Audit Management:
- Strategically oversee and program manage client audits related to contractual compliance, performance, and financial terms.
- Act as the primary point of contact, facilitating efficient information exchange, coordinating responses, and ensuring all audit requirements are met satisfactorily.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation and presentations to support audit processes and demonstrate adherence.
- Internal Contract Audits:
- Independently conduct regular and thorough internal audits and reviews of existing contractual commitments and their adherence.
- Identify gaps, areas of improvement, and potential risks within current contractual practices and operational execution.
- Develop and recommend practical corrective actions and drive initiatives for continuous improvement in contract management processes.
- Client-Facing Governance & Discussions:
- Serve as a key interface for clients on all matters related to contractual governance, adherence, and performance.
- Lead and facilitate client-facing discussions, presenting on contractual compliance, performance metrics, and issue resolution.
- Foster strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders by providing transparent communication and demonstrating proactive contract management.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Legal Acumen: Excellent understanding of contract law, terms and conditions, and legal implications.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects, often with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex contractual documents and identify key insights and risks.
- Risk Management: Proactive approach to identifying, assessing, and mitigating contractual and operational risks.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal and contractual information clearly to diverse audiences (internal and external).
- Negotiation & Influence: Skilled in negotiation and influencing stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing documents and tracking adherence.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving capabilities to address contractual issues and audit findings effectively.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in legal, contract management, or compliance roles, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry.
- Proven track record in managing complex contracts and client relationships in a global setting.
- Strong understanding of contract law principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- A Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) is highly preferred.
- Exposure to AI‑led, automation‑driven, or digital finance transformations .
- Background in consulting, finance advisory, or transformation leadership roles.
- Experience operating across Build–Operate–Transform–Transfer or captive / hybrid operating models.
