You will be part of Network Control, which provides leading network control systems for managing planned and unplanned outages, generation, transmission, and distribution systems, SCADA and process control solutions, as well as tools for commercial energy management. Our solutions meet the most critical needs of power and energy utilities. You will work as a project Lead Engineer, in project deliveries of Network Manager. Network Manager is Hitachi Energy ’ s SCADA/EMS/GMS system.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Take ownership of the overall technical solution in complex system delivery projects
  • Plan and follow up on all technical activities to ensure smooth execution
  • Lead and motivate a cross-functional project team to deliver high-quality results
  • Collaborate directly with national and/or international customers to define and agree on system design
  • Coordinate onboarding of team members and clarify technical project requirements
  • Oversee and coordinate key project phases such as factory testing, installation, and final system verification
  • Ensure that all technical work complies with cybersecurity standards and ethical guidelines
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our products and project processes

Your Background

  • Bachelor ’ s or master ’ s degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • Proactive and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
  • A collaborative team player with a positive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex ideas
  • Fluency in spoken and written English. For one of the two positions, German is also required
  • Experience in project management, SCADA-systems and/or Network Manager is considered meritorious

How you'll make impact

  • Lead SW development team members
  • Coordinate SW development activities across agile teams.
  • Manage the release process ensuring on-time delivery
  • Ensure alignment with project goals and technical requirements.
  • Cooperate with Department Leaders, QA, UX and Embedded SW specialists
  • Provide technical mentorship, support technical and interpersonal skills development of SW team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement in SW development processes and tools.
  • Lead adoption of Artificial Intelligence in SW development.
  • Support software development with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Enhance code reviews strategy, ensure adherence to coding standards, quality & best practices.
  • Focusing on safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your Background

  • At least 5 years of experience in backend or frontend software development.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Team Leader.
  • Experience in SW Development coordination role e.g. Product Owner or Scrum Master, is an advantage.
  • BSc or MSc degree in IT from Computer Science, Telecommunication or IT university.
  • Strong Experience in at least one of: C++, C#, Java/Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python.
  • Experience with applications testing.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools e.g. Jenkins, ADO.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Docker, and Databases (PostgreSQL).
  • Driving mindset, strong problem-solving skills, focus on quality, pragmatic, solution oriented.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
