OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to become a key driver of the client's operations.

This is not a junior processing role. You will play a strategic, client-focused role where your expertise directly influences deal outcomes. We are seeking someone who understands the “why” behind credit decisions, not just the process.

You will take ownership of the end-to-end loan lifecycle, from structuring and assessment through to submission and approval, working on a wide range of complex lending scenarios including:

Self-employed lending (Full-doc & Alt-doc)

Refinancing, equity releases, and portfolio expansion (4+ properties)

SMSF lending

(Bonus) Exposure to commercial lending or asset finance

RESPONSIBILITIES

End-to-End Loan Ownership

  • Manage the full credit process within MyCRM
  • Structure applications in line with aggregator (Loan Market) and lender requirements

Strategic Credit Analysis

  • Assess client financials, servicing capacity, and risk profiles
  • Recommend optimal lending strategies and products

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Perform detailed checks on all documentation
  • Ensure accuracy and minimise rework or lender queries

Lender & Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with a panel of 40+ lenders
  • Navigate policy nuances and advocate for approvals

Process Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable workflows
  • Contribute to operational growth and efficiency

Team Support & Mentorship

  • Guide junior team members and VAs
  • Act as the escalation point for complex scenarios

Relevant Experience

4+ years in the Australian mortgage broking industry

Educational Background

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field

Strong Critical Thinking

Ability to interpret the full financial picture beyond checklists

Excellent Communication Skills

  • Clear, professional English (written & verbal)
  • Ability to explain complex lending scenarios simply

High Level of Independence

  • Self-driven and confident in decision-making
  • Able to manage workload without constant supervision

Exceptional Attention to Detail

A precision mindset — accuracy is non-negotiable

Technical Expertise (Essential)

  • Advanced experience with MyCRM
  • Strong familiarity with Loan Market aggregator systems
  • Deep understanding of Australian lending policies and servicing calculators
