Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay: Up to $27.00/hour, based on experience
Shifts: 1st and 2nd shifts available
2nd Shift Differential: Additional $3.00/hour

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to support steel fabrication and material processing. The ideal candidate has experience with CNC plasma cutting or industrial sawing, drilling, and cutting equipment and is comfortable working with large steel materials.

Experience with any of the following equipment is valuable

Kinetic Plasma Table

Peddinghaus Saw/Drill Line

Peddinghaus Angle Master

Ficep Beamline

Responsibilities

Set up and adjust machine settings for efficient and accurate production.
Select the appropriate material type, stock size, and dimensions for each job.
Measure materials and verify dimensions against design specifications.
Enter or transfer required part information onto materials.
Maintain accurate records of production and material usage.
Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues.
Safely operate overhead cranes and material transfer/convey systems.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.

Required Qualifications

Experience operating a CNC plasma table or performing sawing, drilling, or cutting operations.
Experience with one or more of the following:
Kinetic Plasma Table
Peddinghaus Saw/Drill Line
Peddinghaus Angle Master
Ficep Beamline
Experience operating overhead cranes and handling steel materials.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 inch .
Basic math skills.
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working in both hot and cold environments.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and notes.
