Duties and responsibilities
- Assist the qualified nursing staff, under their supervision, in providing a high quality, comprehensive service to all patients and users, ensuring a high standard of a patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment
- Undertake basic observations of patients’ vital signs, Bloods and perform ECCGS
- Records information related to designated tasks accurately and passes it on to the relevant person in the team on time.
- Identifies and reports any significant changes that might affect the individual’s health and wellbeing to the appropriate person.
Who we're looking for
- Previous experience of working as an HCA (or equivalent) in a clinical environment
- Experience in the following: ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures and patient observations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Care Certificate
