This is a hybrid role. Upon agreement between you and your supervisor, you are entitled to a flexible arrangement where you will be able to split your time between working from the office and working remotely.

The Procurement Service Delivery Lead is responsible to ensure seamless experience of the organization with the end-to-end Source to Pay (STP) process, tools and platforms across Fresenius Medical Care globally. She/he supports the alignment of the Procurement strategy, plans and priorities with the Global Business Services (GBS) organization and feedback to Procurement on GBS strategy, plans and priorities to ensure the best outcome to the organization. She/he supports the decision on the activities and resources to be transferred to GBS, participate in Governance bodies’, manage the transition of activities (and resources) to GBS and establish monitoring and reporting mechanisms to ensure performance of STP processes. She/he owns an organization designed to act upon escalation (or proactively) solve STP issues on sustainable basis.

Your responsibilities

Procurement – GBS Setup and Transition

  • Participation to the design of the Procurement – GBS Governance model
  • Member for the GBS Governance model
  • Ensure alignment on the GBS Service delivery catalogue
  • From Procurement, represents, coordinates and is accountable of the transfer of activities and resources from Procurement to GBS, and vice versa (if need be)
  • Coordinates the design, definition and execution of change management and communication activities

Operational Process Alignment

  • Act as the primary interface between Process and Operational teams to ensure consistent interpretation and execution of defined processes
  • Translate global process standards, policies and improvements into actionable operational practices
  • Ensure operational teams remain aligned with the end-to-end Source to Pay process framework and governance

Service Delivery Coordination

  • Participates in the GBS resources and capabilities planning and definitions from operational and financial perspectives (e.g. Budget, Forecasts, FTEs,
  • Investments, etc.)
  • Coordinates the definition of KPIs, metrics and Service Levels, reporting frequency, etc. to ensure GBS performance
  • Frequently participates in the evaluation of capacities and capabilities of GBS to successfully and efficiently perform transferred activities
  • Responsible to monitor FTEs and Financial performance vs. Financial Plans and to report deviations to Procurement Leadership
  • Act as a second level of escalation for when GBS STP Operations cannot solve process, tools and standards issues and coordinates the resolution across multiple functions, organizations (e.g. GBS, Business, IT, Procurement)
  • Support the Countries’ Procurement team on the implementation of new processes, tools and platforms in countries and accountable to act to course-correct or fix issues in case of feedback or escalations (Countries’ Procurement team remains on the lead)
  • Lead and coordinate meetings/calls with stakeholders and Countries’ Procurement in order to address their process concerns or issues defining action plans. Coordinate the execution of changes for resolving gaps

Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement

  • Identify operational improvement opportunities based on operational insights, performance data and stakeholder feedback
  • Work closely with Process Owners to prioritize and implement continuous improvement initiatives within procurement operations
  • Qualify changes needed according to standard qualification criteria (e.g. legal, quality, etc.). Validate changes with GPOs and after their approval create IT Demands if needed
  • Contribute with inputs to Project Management on the roll-out plan of new processes, standards and tools and/or coordinate implementation of projects in countries
  • Support the stabilization and adoption of process improvements across operational teams
  • Align and define optimum trainings’ concept, schedules and content with Global Process Owners (GPOs) and GBS

Procurement Transformation and Change Implementation

  • Act as the operational lead supporting the implementation of new STP processes, tools and transformation initiatives
  • Coordinate operational readiness activities, ensuring teams are prepared for new process designs, policies or technologies
  • Support the successful rollout and adoption of transformation initiatives across procurement operations
  • Ensure trainings are performed for new tools and processes across the whole organization. For existing tools, ensures that a continuous (or ad-hoc) trainings are delivered on regular basis to maintain the know-how of the organization.

Team Management and Governance

  • Lead the Service Delivery and Operational Governance team
  • Interacts frequently with GBS, GPOs, ITS and Procurement Operations Management
  • Reports frequently on GBS and Service Delivery Operations matters to Group Procurement Leadership on the effective implementation of procurement processes, standards and tools

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Engineering,
  • Master’s in business administration (MBA) or equivalent
  • +20 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, including purchasing and bidding processes
  • Experience in Source to Pay processes
  • +10 years in management or leadership role in a multinational and global position
  • English (written and spoken) – Fluent
  • Beneficial other languages German, Polish, Spanish,
  • Experience on managing and delivery transformation programs and projects
  • Exposure to work with or manage a Global Business Service organization
  • Experience on project management and continuous improvement
  • Procurement or Supply Chain certification is an advantage
  • Project management certification is an advantage
  • Six Sigma certification is an advantage
  • Commercial law certification is an advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP, SAP Ariba, Power BI and A/P Invoice processing tools
  • Knowledge of e-sourcing (e.g. Jaggaer), contract life-cycle management (e.g. Contract PodAI) and other Procurement related tools (e.g. Sievo, ORO Labs, Aravo, Sustainability)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Tools Xls, Power Point, Word. MS Teams
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Procurement policies and procedures
  • Technical knowledge of performance measurement and tracking
  • Varied Project methodology and approach
  • Project management expertise with the ability to carry projects from planning through implementation.
  • Change management
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with leaders and stakeholders both internally and externally.
