Technical Project Manager (LATAM)
Bolder Apps · Remote, Colombia
About The Role
We're hiring a Technical Project Manager to run software and mobile app projects for our clients at Bolder Apps. You'll own delivery across multiple concurrent engagements, working directly with US-based startups and established companies while our engineering teams (increasingly AI-augmented) build. We want someone who's done this before in an agency or consultancy setting, juggling different clients, different stacks, and different priorities without dropping the ball. If you've run technical projects where the client relationship and the delivery timeline both mattered, we want to talk.
About Us
Bolder Apps is a product development studio that partners with US-based startups and established companies to build and scale innovative digital products. We specialize in AI-powered development, full-cycle product creation, and engineering team augmentation. Our mission is simple: build bolder, faster, and smarter.
Our Culture & Values (read before applying)
We move fast. We take ownership. We work with AI, not against it. And we expect everyone to bring ideas, not wait for instructions.
There are no daily checklists, no micromanagement, and no corporate politics. Instead, you'll have autonomy, trust, and a team that's always ready to help you grow. At Bolder Apps, impact matters more than titles, and curiosity matters more than seniority.
If you want a place where you can level up fast and actually see your work making a difference - welcome aboard.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery for multiple concurrent client projects, each with its own scope, stakeholders, and timeline
- Run the day-to-day of mobile app development projects: sprint planning, backlog grooming, release coordination
- Sit between the client and the engineering team. Translate business asks into technical scope and technical constraints back into plain language for the client
- Track budget, timeline, and scope on every project and flag risk before it becomes a problem, not after
- Coordinate QA, staging, and release handoffs so nothing ships without a real check
- Keep project documentation, specs, and status current enough that anyone on the team can pick up context without a meeting
- Run client-facing standups, demos, and status calls during US business hours
- Push back on scope creep and unrealistic timelines instead of just absorbing them
- 3+ years as a technical project manager specifically in software development. Understanding of product and product management principles is highly welcomed.
- Agency or consultancy background. You've managed multiple client accounts at once, each with different priorities, and you know how to context-switch without losing quality on any of them.
- Mobile app development project experience. You understand iOS/Android release cycles, app store review timelines, and the extra coordination mobile adds versus a straightforward web project.
- English proficiency at C1 or above. You'll be running client calls and writing specs that clients read directly, not just talking to internal teammates.
- Available to overlap with US Eastern time through 5 PM EST. This isn't a "check in occasionally" role, it's live coordination during the client's business day.
- Comfortable working with technical tooling: Jira, Linear, GitHub issues, or equivalent. You can read a technical spec or a bug report and know what it means for the timeline.
- Direct communicator. When a project is slipping, you say so early, with a plan, not two weeks later with an excuse.
- Comfortable with AI-augmented development workflows. You don't need to write code, but you understand what an agentic dev process changes about estimation and QA.
- Fully remote, with required overlap through 5 PM EST for client coordination
- Real autonomy over how you run your projects. We don't hand you a rigid PM playbook
- Steady pipeline of client work for PMs who deliver consistently
- Direct line to decision-makers, no extra layers between you and the people who own the outcome
- A peer network of other operators working on overlapping projects
