Glyne Gap School and College is an 'Ofsted outstanding' special school for pupils aged 2 to 19 who have severe or profound learning disability. Most pupils have additional needs, these include autism, sensory disabilities and physical disabilities.
The School and College are fortunate in having an exceptionally gifted staff who have high professional standards and a strong sense of fun and enjoyment.
We are seeking to appoint a friendly, approachable and organised Receptionist, based at our School. It will be essential for the successful candidate to work both as part of a team and to have individual initiative.
The main responsibilities for this role are
- To function as a first point of contact.
- To maintain a professional, friendly and welcoming reception environment.
- To ensure the effective day-to-day operation of Reception.
- To perform General Office & Attendance duties.
Salary details
- Pro-rata to the hours and weeks worked, and paid in 12 equal instalments throughout the year.
- Full-time equivalent (FTE) salary: Single Status Grade 4 Points 9 to 10 £25,185 (£13.05 per hour) to £25,583 per annum, (£13.26 per hour). Pending pay award.
- Term time only - working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks paid annual leave.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All staff will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain Enhanced DBS check.
This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018. The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.
