About The Role

Dentons Business Services EMEA is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Junior HR Specialist to join our UKIME HR Operations team. In this role, you will be part of the wider HR Services team but will provide dedicated operational support to the UKI HR Business Partnering and HR Services teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with at least one year’s experience in a law firm, human resources or professional services environment who is eager to advance their career in HR Operations.

You will be primarily responsible for providing a first level operational support service to the UK HR Business Partnering and HR Services teams.

  • As this role supports UK region please note that it requires operating within UK time-zone therefore working hours are from 10 am – 6 pm
  • This role operates in Hybrid working model requiring DBSE Warsaw office presence 1-2 times a week

About the role

  • Acting as a first point of contact for a first level, standard HR administration staff queries.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate employee records in the HR management system for staff in the UK.
  • Monitoring incoming requests to ensure that all assigned queries are responded to promptly, redirecting or escalating queries as required.
  • Administering pre-employment screening.
  • Supporting new joiner inductions, including preparing and providing new joiners with the relevant instructions and information.
  • Supporting HR Specialists with the administration of onboarding, probation and other employee lifecycle processes, in line with the agreed procedures.
  • Arranging exit interviews and other meetings.
  • Producing standard HR letters and documentation, including mortgage, tenancy and employment references, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Updating holiday and other absence queries in absence management system.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in the HRIS and other filing and document management systems.
  • Preparing HR reports and providing HR data as required.
  • Opportunity to be involved in transitions and transformations projects.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a HR department (desired/ not mandatory)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent English)
  • PC literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Accurate, self-standing and with strong attention to details
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to be proactive, anticipating needs.
  • People focus and very good communication and interpersonal skills, customer and teamwork oriented
