About The Role

In a nutshell

The Coordinator Distribution Technology - Asia Pacific supports our 300 member hotels by connecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the distribution landscape and systems. This role ensures reliable connectivity across all channels while combining strong technical execution with customer-facing responsibilities such as training, complaint handling, and advising hotels on best practices in distribution.

By ensuring accurate rate loading, maintaining rate parity, and aligning hotels’ rate and revenue strategies with system capabilities, the Coordinator safeguards and drives company revenue through transaction fees while minimizing revenue leakage from Best Rate Guarantee (BRG) claims.

Key Responsibilities

System implementation and management

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize our member hotels in both Central Reservation Systems (CRS): SynXis and MARSHA for all our hotels as well as all other pertinent systems needed daily (HPP, Product Catalog, Oscar, One Yield, DAC, etc.).
  • Implement and monitor connectivity and system performance, troubleshooting issues for all channels including OTAs, GDS, IDS, MARSHA, Voice, and Direct and Mobile Booking Engines.
  • Conduct system audits and health checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate with third parties, and ensure timely resolution.

Hotel Support & Training

  • Act as primary contact for 300+ hotels worldwide on distribution-related topics.
  • Provide first and second-level support for system use, connectivity, and distribution performance.
  • Conduct onboarding and training for new and existing hotels on CRS, interfaces capabilities, and booking engines.
  • Advise hotels on rate setup, distribution strategy, and basic revenue management best practices.
  • Handle escalations, complaints, and troubleshooting with professionalism and cultural sensitivity.

Content & Channel Management

  • Ensure accuracy and alignment of hotel content (room types, descriptions, amenities, images, taxes, policies, offsets, restrictions, etc.) to reflect PMS setup consistently across all channels.
  • Load and configure rates (public, confidential, negotiated, campaigns, consortia, groups, etc.) in CRS and across all distribution channels and connected systems. Ensure accurate and timely rate configuration to drive revenue through transaction fees, maintain rate parity across channels, and minimize exposure to Best Rate Guarantee (BRG) claims.
  • Support with OTA and GDS onboarding and connectivity setups and troubleshoot any issues with access to the hotels’ OTA extranet for Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda and Trip.com.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Projects

  • Collaborate with Commercial Strategy, Sales & Digital Marketing, RFP and Travel Trade, Reservations and Account Managers for rate loading, communications and projects.
  • Contribute to distribution-related projects aimed at improving processes, connectivity, and performance.
  • Provide cross-departmental support as needed.
  • Act as a role model and buddy for interns, offering guidance and knowledge-sharing during their internship.

Requirements

Education & Background

  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience with hotel distribution systems is of advantage:
  • CRS: SynXis, MARSHA, SiteMinder, etc.
  • PMS: MEWS, Opera, StayNTouch, Protel, Infor, etc.
  • RMS: Duetto, IDeaS, HappyHotel, etc.
  • OTAs: Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Trip.com, Tablet, Mr. & Ms. Smith, etc.
  • Marriott systems: DAC, HPP, Product Catalog, MaRFP, MARSHA, mPortal, etc.
  • Familiarity with XML messages and HTML language not required but of advantage.
  • Strong technical aptitude with proven ability to learn and troubleshoot systems.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ability to analyse data and solve problems logically.

Languages

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin to support Mandarin-speaking hotel partners and stakeholders.
  • An additional language is an advantage.
