School Social Worker – UAE National

The School Social Worker supports students’ social, emotional, behavioural, and academic wellbeing. The successful candidate will work closely with students, parents, teachers, school leaders, and external authorities to identify concerns, provide appropriate support, and maintain a safe and inclusive school environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Degree equivalency from the UAE Ministry of Education, where applicable.
• Previous experience working as a Social Worker in a school or educational environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of student safeguarding, child protection, behaviour management, and wellbeing procedures.
• Eligibility for approval and appointment through ADEK PASS.
• Good knowledge of UAE culture, values, and educational regulations.

Skills and Competencies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Strong counselling, listening, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school information systems.
