Job Overview

As a Director - Managed Investment Solutions at Emirates NBD, your role represents portfolio management during sales processes, provides technical support to business development units (BDUs), and communicates investment expertise clearly to various stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and marketing teams. They gather and relay detailed product knowledge, assist in training sales teams, and contribute to strategic product development initiatives. The role may involve organizing client meetings, preparing pitch books, responding to RFPs, and performing competitor analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on assigned investment strategies across asset classes.
  • Develop and maintain compelling product narratives and positioning materials tailored to various client segments.
  • Represent portfolio managers in client meetings, roadshows, and due diligence sessions.
  • Provide technical support to Sales teams and respond to product-related inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of client proposals, RFPs, and customized investment content.
  • Conduct internal training sessions for sales and marketing teams to enhance product fluency.
  • Develop and update sales tools, pitchbooks, and FAQs.
  • Collaborate with marketing to produce factsheets, performance commentaries, and thought leadership content.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of product messaging across all channels.
  • Monitor market trends, peer products, and competitive positioning.
  • Conduct performance attribution analysis and peer benchmarking.
  • Provide feedback to investment and product development teams based on client insights and market demand.
  • Contribute to the evolution of existing strategies and the ideation of new offerings.
  • Draft monthly/quarterly updates explaining fund performance and strategy evolution.

Skills and Experience

  • Minumum Bachelor's Degree
  • CFA Certified
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, asset classes, portfolio construction, and risk-return dynamics.
  • Ability to interpret performance data, conduct attribution analysis, and evaluate competitor products.
  • Skilled in simplifying complex investment concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Awareness of client needs, market trends, and commercial drivers of asset growth.
  • Proficiency in creating high-quality technical and marketing materials.

  • Champion adherence to conduct, suitability, and fiduciary obligations throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Engage with risk and compliance partners to address audit findings and proactively mitigate control gaps.

  • Quality of risk-adjusted returns versus benchmarks
  • Timeliness and effectiveness of remediation actions following risk reviews
  1. Commercial enablement of front-line sales teams through managed solutions expertise
  • Deliver expert product training and technical support to relationship managers and investment advisors.
  • Develop and maintain high-impact sales materials, case studies, and digital content tailored to key client segments.
  • Broker cross-functional collaboration to resolve complex client queries and bespoke solution requests.
  • Provide actionable insights to sales leadership on solution uptake, barriers, and emerging opportunities.

  • Sales force confidence and proficiency in positioning managed solutions
  • Quality and relevance of sales enablement resources
  • Uptake and conversion rates for priority managed solutions
  1. Regulatory compliance and ESG integration across managed investment solutions
  • Interpret evolving regulatory requirements and industry codes to ensure all solutions remain compliant and fit for purpose.
  • Embed ESG criteria and disclosures into the design and ongoing management of managed solutions.
  • Partner with legal, compliance, and sustainability teams to address regulatory queries and client ESG expectations.
  • Lead periodic reviews to assess and enhance the transparency and integrity of ESG integration.

Performance Measures

  • Regulatory audit outcomes relating to product compliance and ESG disclosures
  • Stakeholder recognition of ESG integration in managed solutions
  • Frequency and quality of enhancements to ESG-related product features
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • CFA, CAIA, or equivalent investment professional certification
  • Ongoing CPD in ESG, digital wealth, or regulatory compliance
