About The Role
Role Overview
As the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) SME / Administrator, you are accountable for configuring, administering, integrating, and continuously improving Octave Attune EAM (formerly HxGN EAM and Infor EAM). You ensure the platform provides a secure, stable, and trusted system of record for asset structures, maintenance plans, preventive maintenance, job plans, work orders, repair history, and the information required to plan and execute maintenance effectively.
Working within the Intelligent Asset Management Practice, you serve as a senior client-facing advisor across implementation, enhancement, integration, and ongoing support. You translate maintenance and reliability processes into practical system design, guide client decisions, resolve complex issues, and enable consistent adoption across operations, maintenance, reliability, and IT teams. Your work helps turn asset and work-management data into complete, structured, and usable information that supports safe, reliable, and sustainable asset performance. This fully remote contract role is expected to average approximately 40 hours per month initially, with the potential for monthly hours to increase based on project needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Solution Leadership: Lead discovery, requirements, and solution-validation discussions with client stakeholders. Translate maintenance and work-management needs into clear configuration decisions, explain trade-offs and downstream impacts, and provide recommendations that balance operational value, system sustainability, and delivery commitments.
- EAM Configuration & Administration: Configure and administer enterprise EAM environments, including organizational structures, users, roles and security, screens, workflows, codes, reference data, asset hierarchies, preventive-maintenance settings, work-order controls, notifications, and reporting. Maintain stable, secure, and supportable environments across the system lifecycle.
- Work Management & Maintenance Enablement: Enable effective work execution from request and prioritization through planning, scheduling, assignment, completion, and closeout. Optimize preventive-maintenance and repair workflows so that job plans, routes, task lists, asset history, labour, costs, status, and compliance information are captured consistently and can be trusted for operational decisions, metrics, and continuous improvement.
- Integration & Technical Operations: Provide back-end administration and support integrations between EAM and connected ERP, asset information, operational-workflow, and reporting platforms, including j5 and SDx where relevant. Coordinate interface requirements, mappings, data exchanges, scheduled processes, monitoring, and issue resolution with client IT, vendors, and technical teams.
- Data Integrity, Security & Governance: Establish and apply controls for user access, configuration, asset and reference data, and system changes. Maintain alignment between asset and tag registers, monitor work-management data completeness, and perform validation, reconciliation, audits, and corrective action to protect quality, traceability, and compliance, including parts and inventory dependencies that affect maintenance execution.
- Testing, Release & Continuous Improvement: Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, and user-acceptance testing for configurations, interfaces, patches, upgrades, and enhancements. Manage defects and controlled deployments and identify improvements that increase reliability, usability, and business value.
- Documentation, User Support & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain configuration records, administrator guides, work instructions, support procedures, and training materials. Resolve complex user issues and transfer the knowledge client administrators and end users need to operate the platform confidently and consistently.
