About The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant with strong expertise in Xero, Australian tax law, and BAS compliance. This role will focus on reconciling, correcting, and stabilising financial records within Xero.

Key Responsibilities

Xero Reconciliation & Accuracy

  • Full reconciliation of transactions
  • Identify and correct data inconsistencies and errors
  • Ensure accurate transaction categorisation and reporting
  • Maintain integrity of financial records in Xero

Australian Compliance & Tax Support

  • BAS preparation and reporting support
  • GST reconciliation and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to Australian tax laws and regulations
  • Support EOFY financial preparation

Ongoing Bookkeeping Support

  • Monthly reconciliations
  • BAS lodgement support
  • Financial reporting and accuracy checks
  • Ongoing system maintenance and record accuracy

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience with Xero
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax law, BAS, and GST
  • Experience in reconciliation and financial clean-up projects
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage sensitive financial data
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills
  • Previous experience as a Virtual Assistant or Remote Bookkeeper
