Starting Pay: Up to $27.00 per hour (Deending on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Metal Fabrication Equipment Operator to support the production of structural steel and miscellaneous metal components. This position is responsible for operating fabrication equipment, interpreting production drawings, and ensuring finished parts meet quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience with press brakes, shears, and structural steel fabrication in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brakes, shears, and other metal fabrication equipment to cut and form structural steel and miscellaneous metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production work orders.
  • Measure, mark, and lay out materials using tape measures, squares, levels, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Verify finished parts meet dimensional and quality requirements through routine inspections.
  • Move raw materials and completed parts using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean while following all shop safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience operating press brakes, shears, or similar fabrication equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Experience working with structural steel or miscellaneous metal fabrication.
  • Proficient with measuring, layout, and inspection tools.
  • Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to workplace safety.
