Metal Fabrication Welder

Starting Pay: From $22.00/hour (Higher pay available based on experience)

Position Overview

We are hiring a Metal Fabrication Welder to join a growing fabrication team. This position focuses on welding and finishing miscellaneous metal products, including stairs, railings, and other custom fabricated components. Candidates with strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply, even if they have limited experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metal products.
• Grind and finish welded components to meet quality standards.
• Operate overhead cranes to safely move materials and completed assemblies.
• Inspect welds and finished products to identify defects and verify quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following shop safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding.
• Familiarity with a variety of welding equipment, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical documents.
• Basic math and geometry skills.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while meeting deadlines.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to producing quality work.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional welding certification.
• Experience fabricating stair stringers, porches, or similar structural components.
• Background working with miscellaneous metals.
