About The Role

Responds to Internet customer inquires and ensures that the dealership actualizes its maximum profit potential on Internet sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicates effectively with internet customers and prospects according to their preferred method of communication, whether by phone, by e-mail or in person.
  • Checks e-mail frequently and responds to inquires immediately. Delivers messages intended for other departments promptly.
  • Sells/leases and delivers minimum number of units or more set by management group.
  • Coordinates Internet promotions with other dealership sales promotions and advertising.
  • Ensures that Website address is prominently displayed throughout the dealership, e.g., on business cards, flyers, pens, and on all dealership advertising.
  • Takes photos of dealership inventory for use on the dealership site.
  • Maintains an ongoing customer database to capture repeat business.
  • Assigned other projects as directed by the General Manager.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SPECIALIZED TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Some college is preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Word, Excel and other computer applications to include sound knowledge of internet capabilities. Must be well organized, able to establish priorities and handle a variety of projects and functions simultaneously with minimum supervision. Should have the ability to compose letters and initiate correspondence independently. Excellent typing and telephone skills. Must possess strong interpersonal and excellent verbal communication skills. 2 plus years of internets sales in a dealership setting is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position requires occasional walking and standing with light (1-10lbs.) carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling. The position is a mostly sedentary and requires the employee to have close visual acuity to perform job requirements. The position requires frequent talking, hearing and repetitive motion with the hands, wrists and/or fingers. This position is located within an office environment and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
