Interested in helping design and improve the systems that keep manufacturing facilities running efficiently? At Foth, our internship program provides hands-on experience that allows you to apply what you've learned in the classroom while developing valuable technical and professional skills. As a Process Engineering Intern in our Green Bay, WI office, you'll support process and utility engineering projects for a variety of industrial clients, working alongside experienced engineers. During this Summer 2027 internship, you'll build your understanding of engineering analysis, design, and project execution.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with field data gathering under the direction of a process engineer
  • Create and maintain clear and accurate design documents (P&IDs, equipment plans, piping drawings, photo drawings)
  • Assist with CADD in the preparation of drawings for process and utility system related projects
  • Understand, interpret, and develop design and construction specifications
  • Perform standard process system calculations (pump sizing, material and energy balance, fluid flow analysis, valve and instrument sizing)
  • Develop equipment lists

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with and/or coursework involving P&IDs
  • Previous experience with and/or coursework involving standard process calculations (pump sizing, valve and instrument sizing, fluid flow analysis)
  • Previous experience with equipment specification and procurement support (obtaining quotes, vendor contact/follow-up)
