About The Role

ROLE PURPOSE

The Associate is the core research and strategic sourcing engine of Oxeon’s executive search practice. Operating as a dedicated professional services team member, you will advance search precision, execution, and market intelligence by mapping complex executive landscapes, conducting high-touch candidate engagement, and delivering client-ready materials that connect transformative leadership with category-defining healthcare companies.

Partnering directly with firm leaders on C-suite search mandates across private equity- and venture-backed sectors - including Payer, Value-Based Care, Pharma Services, Digital Health, Health-tech, and Multisite Healthcare - you will build candidate pipelines and leverage creative research methods to inform calibration slates.

Based in our Nashville office, this role offers direct, in-person mentorship from senior leadership. You will join a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and inclusive environment where every team member has a voice, initiative is valued, and professional growth is actively supported.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Uncovering Market Talent & Strategic Sourcing

  • Market Mapping: Map candidate landscapes across key healthcare sectors (Payer, VBC, Pharma Services, Digital Health, Multisite) to build targeted executive pipelines.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Adapt search strategies dynamically using internal networks, creative research, and talent scarcity analysis to maintain search momentum.

Engaging & Evaluating Executive Leaders

  • High-Touch Evaluation: Conduct personalized outreach and in-depth discovery conversations to assess executive presence, functional expertise, and organizational fit.
  • Insight Synthesis: Uncover candidate motivators and translate qualitative screening feedback into analytical insights that guide optimal leadership matches.

Delivering Impact & Managing Search Operations

  • Content & Data Management: Develop compelling candidate dossiers, position profiles, and client materials while maintaining real-time database accuracy.
  • Search Ownership: Manage operational workflows and set internal sync agendas to drive search progress and inform client updates.

Championing Firm Culture & Shared Success

  • Local Brand Ownership: Act as an owner of the team by contributing to Oxeon’s local presence, helping expand our footprint and brand reputation across Nashville.
  • Culture & Collaboration: Share cross-functional market intelligence to support firm-wide searches while actively modeling core values through peer mentorship and firm-building initiatives.

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Core Qualifications

  • Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. 1–3 years of relevant experience in areas such as executive search, recruiting, management consulting, sales, or client-facing professional services, backed by a demonstrated track record of success.
  • External-Facing Capability: Proven experience managing external stakeholders, building rapport, and conducting consultative communication.
  • Healthcare Alignment: A clear interest and genuine motivation to positively impact the healthcare ecosystem through executive leadership.

SALARY EXPECTATIONS

  • Total cash compensation range (base + bonus): $77,976 – $97,416, depending on experience.
  • Base salary range: $72,200 – $90,200
