PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Retail Lead is responsible for supporting the execution and maintenance of visual merchandising standards across Deer Valley Retail locations. This position partners closely with retail management, store teams, and the buying team to create compelling, brand-right retail environments that enhance the guest experience, highlight key products and collections, and support seasonal sales objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards across Deer Valley Retail locations, ensuring stores are visually compelling, organized, and aligned with the Deer Valley brand.
- Partner with retail management and store teams to execute seasonal floorsets, product launches, promotional changes, and merchandising initiatives.
- Merchandise apparel, accessories, hardgoods, gifts, and other retail categories in a way that supports storytelling, product discovery, and sales.
- Style mannequins, fixtures, tables, walls, windows, and focal displays while maintaining appropriate product density and presentation standards.
- Ensure signage, pricing, promotional materials, and visual collateral are current, accurate, and professionally presented.
- Collaborate with store leaders and associates to maintain visual standards throughout the selling day and provide guidance on merchandising best practices.
- Assist with store openings, resets, special events, new product deliveries, and other seasonal visual merchandising projects.
- Support inventory movement and product replenishment as needed to execute merchandising strategies.
- Ensure all visual presentations comply with Deer Valley Retail standards, operational requirements, and safety expectations.
- Respond to email, Teams, and other communications in a timely manner
- Deliver exceptional service to internal and external guests while consistently demonstrating the Deer Valley Difference.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous retail experience required; visual merchandising experience strongly preferred.
- Experience merchandising apparel and products in a high-volume, premium retail environment within the outdoor or resort industry preferred.
- Ability to interpret visual direction, merchandising standards, planograms, or floorset guides preferred.
- Strong visual merchandising instincts with an understanding of product presentation, balance, color, outfitting, and retail storytelling.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple visual projects across several retail locations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with store teams and retail management.
- Ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, changing retail environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with basic technology, including Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Teams.
- Ability to travel between Deer Valley Retail locations throughout the workday as required.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and crouching for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and step stools to execute displays and merchandising.
- Must be able to safely lift and move 25+ lbs.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

PAY RATE
- $22.00 per hour
