Job Description

Summary of Duties

Position is 75% time (30 hours per week). Under general supervision, supports the employment team by purchasing and placing external job advertisements, submits background check orders and monitors results, reviews candidate application materials, assists with various other search related activities and special projects; assists new hires with I-9 and onboarding completion; creates, reviews, updates, and approves various business process transactions and provides guidance to departments as needed; monitors various business process and onboarding reports; serves as the first point of contact for Merit and unclassified temporary hiring and the summer camp hiring process; schedules office staff meetings and composes meeting minutes; assists in monitoring and recommending changes to office website, employment policies, job aids, etc.; assists in providing support for office walk-in and overflow phone calls; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Any combination of progressively responsible related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to four years of full-time employment. Experience with human resources employment related functions and customer service preferred.
