About The Role

This position supports the Welfare and Self-Reliance Services Department to foster self-reliance, care for the poor and the needy, and provide opportunities for giving and service by helping members become economically and emotionally self-reliant; and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering; thus, furthering the mission of the Church. This position reports to the Regional Humanitarian Manager

Assist the Regional Humanitarian Manager to coordinate humanitarian efforts within India
Plan and execute humanitarian projects in alignment with Area priorities
Coordinate with departments to ensure humanitarian projects are ontrack and completed timely per the project plan
Supervise and train senior missionaries and volunteers in carrying out the humanitarian projects development and execution
Build and maintain relationships with local communities, government officials, and NGOs
Develop and manage project budgets in accordance with the relevant compliance principles and organization policies and standards.
Compile internal reports, prepare payment requisitions, and provide other related financial support
Assist to manage project proposals and project oversight including keeping within budget
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 6 years’ in project management or relevant experience
Proven work ethics, honesty and integrity in all dealings
Good customer service and follow up skills
Must have strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and internet software)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi language
Strong commitment to meeting deadlines
Must be able to work collaboratively and travel up to 40% of the time
