As a(n) Senior Product Manager High Speed interconnect, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Own the product strategy and lifecycle management for high-speed copper interconnect products.
- Define and maintain product roadmaps aligned with market trends, customer needs, technology developments, and business objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities in data centers, AI infrastructure, networking, storage, telecom, and OEM markets.
- Evaluate emerging interface standards and architectures
Product Development Leadership
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and vertical sales teams to develop and launch new products.
- Facilitate prioritization of NPIs
- Define product specifications, performance targets, compliance requirements, pricing strategy, and launch criteria.
- Support design tradeoff decisions related to signal integrity, mechanical design, thermal performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
- Manage product lifecycle activities, including new product introduction, sustaining improvements, cost optimization, and end-of-life planning.
Commercial Execution
- Develop business cases, margin targets, and pricing recommendations.
- Create sales enablement materials, value propositions, customer presentations, and competitive positioning.
- Support key customer engagements, technical selling activities, and contract discussions.
- Monitor product performance against financial, operational, and customer satisfaction metrics.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams without direct authority to deliver products on time and within business targets.
- Communicate product priorities and performance updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with regional sales and marketing teams to support global commercialization.
- Ensure alignment among product, engineering, operations, quality, finance, and commercial teams.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a administration field (completed and verified prior to start) .
- Seven (7) years of experience in product management, product marketing, business development, or technical program management in a private, public, government or military environment .
- Three (3) years of experience in B2B product lifecycle management, including roadmap development, pricing, positioning, launch, and portfolio management.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include
- Ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and executive leadership teams.
- Master’s degree in engineering, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical requirements into commercially successful products.
- 1+ year of experience working with hyperscale cloud providers, network equipment manufacturers, server OEMs, or semiconductor companies.
- 3+ years of experience in global product management across multiple regions and customer segments.

Work location
- This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
- Travel: May include up to 20% domestic and international
