About The Role

Rocky Mountain Oncology - Nurse Practitioner

We are hiring for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at our Rocky Mountain Oncology clinic in Casper, WY. This person is responsible for assessing patients in the clinic, recommending treatment plans, medication management, symptom management, and working closely with the physicians to make any changes to treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Applies basic concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks
  • Assess oncology patients' symptoms and make suggestions and recommendations on individual treatment plans
  • Works on projects of limited scope and complexity
  • Follows established procedures to resolve readily identifiable technical problems
  • Works under direct supervision and receives detailed instructions
  • Shared Call with teammates
  • Develops competence by performing structured work assignments
  • Update patient records using electronic medical records
  • Work closely with oncologists for any changes in symptoms or individual treatment plans
  • Medication Management
  • Symptom Management
  • Conduct physical examinations
  • Comply with all HIPAA laws regarding patient confidentiality

Qualifications

  • 2 - 5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree of Science in Nursing
  • NP-focused Masters degree
  • Successfully passed a National Nurse Practitioner board certification exam
  • Previous experience working within oncology in a clinical setting, highly preferred
  • Oncology certification a plus
  • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration and license, preferred
  • Anticipated salary range: $115,000 - $155,500
  • Bonus eligible: No
