A Day in the Life
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced HR leader to join our new Agile HR team. This team will complement other roles within HROM and will be engaged by the HRLT to activate, deploy, and execute prioritized strategic programs. As a key member of the Agile team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing business and HR strategies that drive growth, innovation, and a high-performance culture.
The Agile Senior HR Program Manager will be responsible for the success of complex small- to medium-scale programs across Medtronic. You will lead the design, planning, and initial deployment of emerging strategic programs, from diligence and integration planning through to business-as-usual operations. Partnering with leaders across the Human Resources community and cross-functional business teams, , you will plan and execute chartered programs, drive innovation and change, and foster continuous improvement to strengthen business performance through alignment of people, strategy, and culture. The position reports to the HR Director, Agile Services team, is based in Heerlen, requires on-site presence twice a week, and involves 20 percent travel.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned
- Key initiatives include but not limited to annual Strategy Activation for HR, Workforce Management Tools & Systems, Org Design & Talent Deployment Programs, Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures, Global Network Strategies, One Best Way Standardization, and HROM Continuous Improvement.
- Designs, implements and executes human resources strategies for business unit and functional groups.
- Partners with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives, proactively delivering on customer expectations by representing, advising and resolving HR and business issues.
- Provides project management & leverages agile/lean methodology to deploy solutions pertaining to organizational design, development, effectiveness and employee life cycle management, creating an optimal employee experience.
- Plans for long-term transformational human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management.
- · Responsible for and/or serves as a HR liaison in key projects.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of HR experience OR Advanced degree with 5+ years of experience
- Proven track record of strong performance as an HR, COE or Shared Services Partner - demonstrated effectiveness across all our Medtronic HR competencies.
- Global or regional understanding of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize legal risks.
- Strong, confident leadership and project management abilities to effectively lead and guide cross-functional teams and initiatives, with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- High level of confidence & effectiveness in verbal and written communication skills to interact with leaders & functional SMEs at all levels, offering sound advice and consulting pertaining to talent, culture & organizational strategies, programs, and policies clearly.
- Previous experience working on complex projects requiring effective org design, org development, restructuring, problem-solving & change management strategies.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
