The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. It has over 50 faculty members and more than 1,500 students and is rapidly expanding its range of education and research activities.

We are looking for an outstanding Research Fellow with a strong background in geomodelling, geophysical and geotechnical investigation, geomechanical engineering, and machine learning.
You will be expected to work effectively on a geophysical/geomechanical project, to perform independent and collaborative research to meet the project objectives, and to publish high-quality journal papers to promote the international reputation of the school and the University.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct project related research on geophysical/geomechanical investigation, geomodelling, data analytics, and machine learning.
- Responsible for processing and analyzing geophysical/geomechanical data and build a 3D geological model.
- The position involves conducting research, supervising undergraduate students, and writing project reports and scientific articles.
Job Requirements
- PhD qualification degree in Geophysics, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or related field from a recognized university
- Strong background in 3D geomodelling development
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Expertise in geophysics, geotechnics and geomechanics
- Expertise in big data analytics
- Publication track record is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and develop solutions under strict timelines
