About The Role

The Filter Fabrication Technician/Welder is responsible for assembling, fabricating, and welding filtration products and components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to safely operate fabrication and welding equipment to produce high-quality products for the aerospace and industrial filtration industries.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, and weld filtration components and assemblies.
  • Perform aluminum welding and other welding processes as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and specifications.
  • Operate fabrication equipment, hand tools, power tools, grinders, saws, and measuring devices.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Assist with other manufacturing and assembly duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous fabrication, assembly, or welding experience preferred.
  • Experience welding aluminum preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
